Landscape Maintenance Foreman
Hamilton Landscape of Southport and Oak Island has an immediate opening for a full-time year round Landscape Foreman. Duties include crew management and operating various mowing equipment and small hand-held engine tools. The ideal candidate will meet these requirements: Previous landscape crew supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, detailed oriented with excellent follow-up skills, comprehensive knowledge of plants, trees, and irrigation systems, and the ability to professionally interact with clients.
Specific Job Duties Include:
- Orient & train new employees.
- Monitor each employee's overall job performance & provide direction, encouragement & support.
- Mentor & Coach each to optimize their performance.
- Counsel employees in ways to improve their value to the company and assist in their professional development.
Crew Management
- Preview upcoming jobs, work schedule, and job details in advance.
- Safe operation and maintenance of the following equipment.
Job Description:
- Mowing Lawns - Push, walk behind and riding
- Pruning shrubs, edging, mulching, trimming, fertilizing & seeding.
- Irrigation installs and maintenance.
Required Skills:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
- Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must wear work boots, Hamilton Landscape uniform shirts.
- Must have valid NC Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
- Must comply with Hamilton Landscape policies and procedures
Required Experience
* 5 Years in Landscape Maintenance
Preferred Experience
* 5 Years in a Supervisory Role
Bilingual is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
